Yusef Komunyakaa
Here's a not-quite-up-to-date bio of the poet we'll be reading this week:
http://www.ibiblio.org/ipa/komunyakaa/bio.html
More interesting material on YK and on Vietnam:
http://www.english.uiuc.edu/maps/poets/g_l/komunyakaa/komunyakaa.htm
and a reading of "Facing It" by another Vietnam vet:
http://www.favoritepoem.org/thevideos/lythgoe.html
and keep looking for yourselves!
aloha, S
