Women Generals of the Yang Family

I saw the play "Women Generals of the Yang Family" this past weekend. I must say, it is a trip. If you've never seen a Beijing Opera, go see it. It is pretty odd and interesting and gives you a glimpse into how another culture entertained themselves. One of my friends is in the production, a stagehand, so I got free tickets, but UH students can get in for only $4. The oddest thing about it was the way the women spoke. It is hard to explain, but the only thing I can think of to explain it is... Mickey Mouse!
